Terms of Appointment

The successful candidates will serve for an initial 3-year term as a Trustee of the Board. This term is renewable at the Board’s discretion, for up to a maximum of 9 years.

Time Commitment:

The Board of Trustees meet three times per year, including an annual Strategy Day, overseeing the governance of Trust with the support of a number of Committees that also meet at least once per term.

In addition to the three Board meetings a year, Trustees are usually expected to join at least one Committee.

Trustees are welcome and encouraged to engage with the busy lives of our Schools by attending some of the many events and fixtures which make up the Schools’ years.

An approximate time commitment for Trustees is 10-12 days a year.

Remuneration:

In the spirit of charity governance, Trustees are not remunerated. However, reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Location:

Board and Committee meetings will usually take place in person in Bath, with some Trustees travelling occasionally to Gibraltar. Some Committee meetings are held online.

Start Date:

We anticipate a start date, subject to clearances in the Summer Term 2025
